Beacon UU Christmas Eve Service: Cindy Lou Who and the Heart of the Holidays: The Grumpy Green Grinch, from the Dr. Seuss classic, did the Whos of Whoville a colossal favor by “stealing” Christmas. When we first meet them, the villagers are caught up in their annual “Whobilation,” a crude tribute to miserable excess. That’s, except, sweet little Cindy Lou Who, the mop they consider radical because she wants to spend quality time with her family and uplift the hearts of the holidays. Cindy Lou reminds us that “Christmas doesn’t come from a store” as we rejoice and celebrate together in our Beacon Sanctuary for the first time in two years. Hosted by Reverend Robin, with Andy Hogg and the Beacon Choir, conducted by Jason Drahos. Old and modern readings, familiar Christmas carols, a dramatic ‘Grinchy’ vignette, Silent Night candle lighting and choral offerings galore!
